• 10 Handmade Gift Ideas To Get Creative With This Christmas

Hey everyone – I hope you’re all doing okay. Today I have brought you a little crafty post with some handmade gift ideas. As you may already know I love giving (and receiving) handmade gifts on any occasion – I feel it is that little bit more personal and you can create lovely things that are totally unique. Below I have compiled a few of my favourites that will hopefully inspire you to get creative this Christmas. Enjoy!

    Handmade Lavender Sachets

These lavender sachets may not be your first idea for a gift but they can make such cute little stocking fillers or hamper additions. You can adapt them to any occasion by using seasonal fabric and experimenting with different essential oils to freshen up your drawers.

    Cinnamon Lip Scrub

You can make lipscrub at home so easily – the tutorial from foodfunfamily.com uses just a handful of ingredients to create this lovely handmade gift. The opportunities are endless with the different flavours you can experiment with, but I had to go with the cinnamon one to share with you just because it gives that extra little Christmas vibe!

    Handmade Snow Globe

This handmade snow globe is so gorgeous and one of my favourites from the entire list. There is an item or two that you may have to purchase specifically for this creation but if you’re feeling ambitious this is definitely something to try out as the end result is so beautiful.

    DIY Room Spray

Room spray isn’t as much of a common handmade gift but in my opinion, it’s much nicer than the ready-made type – there are no unknown chemicals involved and the dried flowers are such a lovely touch which easily tops shop-bought spray.

    Handmade Coasters

Coasters are so diverse as they can be made out of so many various materials. In the tutorial I have included, qualitylogoproducts.com share with us several different materials that you can use to make some lovely unique designs and what they’re best suited for. What’s better is, you don’t even have to sew them so it really is a beginners project that anyone can do.

    Painted Rock Holders

These painted rock holders are such a unique idea that I’ve never seen before! They would look wonderful painted in Christmassy themes, as name holders for the table or as a gift to hold photos on. It is a really inexpensive way to create a cute gift in a short amount of time.

    Clay Ring Dish

I have made these myself previously as gifts and I was very surprised that it’s not too tricky at all, even with the marble effect. I used polymer clay which is generally my go-to but I’m sure air drying clay would work too as this is a bit more accessible in shops.

    Snowflake Soap

These little snowflake soaps just look good enough to eat!! They’re almost too pretty to use. You can create these little soaps with whatever moulds you wish and decorate them to make them your own. I can just imagine them wrapped in cellophane with a cute ribbon, waiting to be enjoyed.

    Decorated Candles

This is such a good idea from howdoesshe.com! They bought these inexpensive candles that were originally plain and then used napkins to create the sheet music effect. So clever and would make a lovely gift for a music lover. Alternatively you could use any napkin design following the same instructions to create a totally bespoke gift for a loved one.

    Homemade Bath Salts

I have been following many of The Spruce’s blogs for a while now – it seems there is NOTHING they haven’t written about as they have such wonderful ideas that I wish I’d have thought of! The photo of these bath salts just makes me want to run a hot bath and put candles on and soak in the gorgeous lavender scent. Check out the tutorial below to see how to create these lovely looking bath salts at home.

I LOVE handmade gifts. I love to give and to receive them. These days we all own way too much stuff and sometimes it is hard to impress people. That’s why I always encourage my son to make gifts for our family members. Last xmas he made them some clay ring dishes, similar to the ones you showed, and they loved it x

True. Handmade gifts are made personally rather than other normal gifts. Great lists.
