Hello again! I hope you’re enjoying this glorious sunshine we have had here in England and are staying safe as lockdown continues. Today I will be sharing with you some more lovely clothes in this Femme Luxe Finery haul (if you missed my first post then you can find that here!) I am so excited to share these items with you as they’re my favourite yet and at such a bargain price too.
Femme Luxe Finery very kindly gifted me these items in exchange for an honest review. I have not been compensated in any other way and all views are strictly my own. You can see my privacy policy here.
Wine One Shoulder Ruched Slinky Midi Dress – Savannah
I LOVED this dress when I saw it on the website, but the model looked quite tall and the dress was about knee length on her… I’m rather petite at 5’3″ so I was unsure how this would look on a short gal like me. Safe to say it was just how it looked on the website and I love love love this dress!
I often go for red dresses but this ‘wine’ colour is a bit more unusual and so pretty. The one-shoulder look really gives it an extra edge over your standard dress – it would be perfect for a date night, occasion or maybe something a bit Christmassy!
Red Mesh Panel V Neck Bodycon Mini Dress – Tammy
As I said above, I do have a few red dresses already but this one looked so pretty I couldn’t pass it by! I really loved the top half of this dress, it had a lovely v neck line with the mesh which I found very flattering as a girl that isn’t particularly big on the top half! It is quite figure hugging but I really liked the way it looked.
The reason why I didn’t post a full length shot of me in this dress is because there is mesh in the hip area (it’s right where your knickers sit) – I did not realise how see through this was until it arrived. For me it just felt far too revealing and I was not comfortable posting it on my blog for hundreds of people to see.
One way to get around this could be to either wear nude colour underwear or get the exact same colour as the dress is maybe? I felt either way it really did draw a bit too much attention to that area and would require some extreme confidence to wear out – unfortunately that’s just not me which is a shame because I was really excited to wear this. I’m sure there are many people who could rock this style and look fab but sadly I am not one of those people 🙁
I popped my little Pooh bear under the mesh so you can get an idea of how much would be seen. Although I did not feel comfortable going out in this, I know many girls would and look great in it, so just because it didn’t suit me doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be perfect for you – it is very pretty.
White ‘Baby Girl’ Slogan Print Crew Neck T-Shirt – Bria
This slogan ‘baby girl’ t-shirt is available in a few different colours but I opted for white as I think it just goes with everything! I wear jeans and patterned skirts a lot and this t-shirt pairs really well every time – I find it so easy to wear. For the price, you may expect the quality to not be very good but it the material feels like it will last so I believe it to be great value.
I’ve seen the “baby girl” trend popping up quite a lot lately on social media – I love any slogan t-shirt that’s cute & a bit sassy so I’m really glad I jumped on that whole bandwagon, it’s a must-have for this Femme Luxe Finery haul!
Black One Shoulder Padded Bodycon Mini Dress – Unice
I’ve never owned anything with these shoulder pads but they seem to have become more and more popular recently so I thought I’d mix it up a bit and try this dress… I’m so glad I did, I love it!
You can’t go wrong with a little black dress – it’s iconic, slimming and as Coco Chanel said, “one is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress.” The shoulder pad/one-shoulder thing going on just makes it that little bit more unique so you stand out just that little bit more.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this Femme Luxe Finery haul! I really enjoyed photographing and writing about their lovely clothing, so definitely check out their website so you can grab a bargain before your next night out! 🙂
